2009/2010 Goals

Overview

Toastmasters International provides each club with an award upon achieving certain goals during the year. Riverside club achieved five out of ten possible goals in 2008/2009, meaning the club received “Distinguished Club Status”. In 2009/2010, we’re hoping to get seven goals, bringing the club up to “Select Distinguished Club” status.

To achieve Select Distinguished status, the club must achieve at least seven of the following ten goals:

  1. Two new Competent Communicator awards
  2. Two more Competent Communicators (total of four)
  3. One Advanced Communicator
  4. One more Advanced Communicator (total of at least two)
  5. One Leadership Award
  6. One more Leadership Award (total of at least two)
  7. Four new members
  8. Four more new members (total of at least eight)
  9. Four officers trained during each of the two training periods
  10. Membership reports and Club Officer List submitted on time
  1. We need two volunteers to achieve their Competent Communicator this year.
  2. Who else will complete their CC?
  3. Douglas is working towards his Advanced Communicator Bronze.
  4. Who else?
  5. Who will do their leadership award?
  6. And another one?
  7. We will need four new members to achieve this goal.
  8. A further four new members will need to be recruited by June 30th, 2010
  9. Club officers.
  10. All renewals and information has been submitted to Toastmasters International on time.
